  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 24 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel sauce)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (for caramel sauce)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel sauce)
  • 1 tsp sea salt (for caramel sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan and bake for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour; layer over cooled crust.
  3. Beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth; add eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla and sour cream until combined. Pour the mixture over the apple layer.
  4. Bake for 60-70 minutes until nearly set; cool completely before refrigerating for at least four hours.
  5. For caramel sauce, melt sugar in a saucepan until amber-colored. Stir in butter and then heavy cream slowly; add sea salt before removing from heat.
  6. Serve chilled with salted caramel drizzled on top.
