  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup blood orange juice (for frosting)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (for ganache)
  • 1/2 cup half and half (or 1/4 cup cream with 1/4 cup milk for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix water, sugar, olive oil, blood orange zest, and juice until blended.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet mixture without overmixing.
