  • 1/2 cup Dutch Process Baking Cocoa

  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar (plus additional for coating of cookies)
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Milk (1%, 2%, or Fat-free)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 10 oz bag of Hershey Caramel Kisses
  • Sea Salt Flakes (optional)
  • Salted Caramel Sugar (optional)
  • Dark Cocoa Sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and cocoa.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla until combined.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until well incorporated.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour.
  7. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, roll in granulated sugar, and place on sheets.
  8. Bake for 6-8 minutes; add unwrapped Hershey kisses on top and bake for an additional 2 minutes.
  9. Cool on wire racks before serving.
